Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

This page provides guidance for preparing and submitting your article through our online system.

About the Journal

JABEdu is an open-access, peer-reviewed, biannual journal published by Young Wise Publishing Ltd. (UK, London).
The journal publishes articles in agriculture, biotechnology, education, and other interdisciplinary fields contributing to teaching, learning, innovation, and sustainable development.

All articles are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process and published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights.

Peer Review and Ethics

JABEdu and its publisher declare a strong commitment to ethical publishing and transparent peer review.

Before submission, authors must ensure:
• Similarity (Plagiarism) Report: similarity rate must be below 15% (Turnitin or iThenticate).
• Ethics Committee Approval: mandatory for research involving humans, animals, or sensitive data.
• Cover Letter: explaining originality, ethics compliance, and significance.
• Author Contribution & Conflict of Interest statements.

Articles first undergo editorial screening and then double-blind peer review by independent experts.

Manuscript Preparation

General Format

• Use MS Word (.docx) format.
• Font: EB Garamond, 11 pt, line spacing 1.15.
• Paragraphs: first line not indented; subsequent lines 0.5 cm.
• Style: APA 7th edition for citations and references.
• Quotes: short quotes in italics within quotation marks (“ ”); long quotes indented without quotation marks.

Article Structure

• Abstract (350–450 words)
• Introduction (including literature review and conceptual framework)
• Problem of Study
• Method (research model, participants, data collection, analysis, procedure)
• Results
• Discussion (include up-to-date, high-quality references)
• Conclusion (summary and implications; minimum one page)
• Recommendations (for researchers and practitioners)
• Limitations
• Acknowledgements (funds, permissions, contributions, conflicts)
• Biodata of Authors (photo, name, degree, affiliations, academic profiles)
• References (APA 7, 10 pt, single-spaced)
• Appendix (if applicable)

Page Limit

A typical article should not exceed 35 pages, including references and appendices.

Submission Process

All submissions must be made through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) submission interface.
Each author must:
• Register in OJS with their ORCID ID,
• Complete their author profile,
• Upload all required files (manuscript, figures, supplementary materials).

Copyright and Open Access

• Authors retain full copyright of their work.

Privacy Statement

Journal for the Agriculture, Biotechnology and Education (JABEdu) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all authors, reviewers, and readers. This privacy statement describes how the journal collects, uses, and safeguards personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – EU 2016/679) and applicable national data protection laws.

JABEdu acts as the data controller for all information submitted through its online platform and related services.

Data Collection

Personal data collected through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform include:
• Name and surname
• Institutional affiliation
• Email address
• ORCID ID (if provided)
• Country and academic position

These data are collected only for legitimate academic and operational purposes related to manuscript submission, review, and publication.

Purpose of Data Use

Collected personal data are used solely for the following purposes:
• Managing article submissions, peer review, and publication processes
• Maintaining communication with authors and reviewers
• Providing open-access publication and citation information
• Improving visibility and academic recognition of authors and their work

Personal data will never be sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for commercial or unrelated purposes.

Data Retention and Security

JABEdu retains personal data for as long as necessary to complete editorial and publication activities, and as required by legal or institutional obligations.
All data are stored securely on servers managed by the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Access to user accounts is password-protected and restricted to the account holder.

The editorial team and technical staff have no direct access to users’ personal login credentials. Authors may update or delete their information within their OJS profile at any time, or request assistance from the journal’s technical support.

JABEdu and its publisher take all appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal data.

Data Sharing

JABEdu does not share personal data with any external organizations, except when legally required or with the explicit consent of the individual concerned (for example, in cases of research misconduct investigation by institutions).

Copyright and Agreements

During the submission process, authors are requested to complete the Copyright and License Agreement Form, signed by all authors, confirming their ownership of the work and consent to publish under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Policy Updates

This privacy statement may be revised periodically to comply with updated legal requirements or improvements to our data protection practices. The latest version will always be available on the journal’s website.
